How much should you pay for a bed frame?
When it comes to bed frames, there’s huge variety in the styles and extra features available, so it stands to reason that there’s quite a range of prices as well. The good thing is that there is a bed frame out there to suit every budget - and here at DFS we stock everything from your budget-friendly bed frames to boutique hotel-inspired luxury beds. Are bed bases or bed frames better?
Generally, most people prefer a bed frame over a bed base, as they can offer additional storage and come with a headboard. A bed base is usually solid underneath, whereas a bed frame can let you make use of the space underneath for storage - whether that’s an ottoman bed with a lift-up mattress, built-in drawers on a divan bed, or simply an off-the-floor bed frame on legs where you can slide boxes underneath. You can also often find bed frames at a more affordable price point than bed bases. For these reasons, we mostly stock bed frames, as most customers find them a better option - although we do offer a few bed bases without storage too.
